its that time of the year again! this past sunday was the annual wheels of italy car show at the lake calhoun executive plaza... this year was the best turn out so far and the weather was perfect! here are my pictures, ferrari free because i feel like it!

its a WATCH!

yes my friends, this is my new daily "beater" watch. Its an Invicta 8926c. It is a clone of the Rolex Submariner. I didnt want an actual fake rolex since i dont accept fake things anymore. This watch is more of an "homage" to the real thing... kind of a placeholder until I get the real thing because the real rolex submariner is the top of my list of watches to get. this one is a really good quality but still decently priced watch. It features an automatic movement inside which means no batteries, it winds with the movement of your wrist. The band on it is really high quality and there are stories on the internet watch message boards of people using links from this band as replacement links for their real rolexes.

I decided to put it on the James Bond style strap (as seen on Sean Connerys Rolex Submariner in all of his movies as James Bond) as a tribute to my love of 007 and also the fact that I wil lbe wearing this at work in a warehouse...

gift keychain

this is a keychain with lots of little pink gadgets and tools on it that i made for my girlfriend as a gift.

the items from left to right are:

carribeaner - the actual keychain, made for ease of getting the tools on and off, or adding more tools

leatherman squirt S4 - this thing folds out to an awesome scissors and also has a knife, nail file, two different screwdrivers, one philips head, tweezers and a bottle/can openerled

flashligh - this thing is insanely bright and has the newest in LED technology. much brighter then those crappy mini maglites. it will light up a path at night for walking just fine.

whistle - for signalling people wether it be in an emergency situation, hailing a cab downtown, or getting a group of loud peoples attention

spy capsule - these things are really handy. just a little thing that you can put stuff inside. this particular one has 2 ibuprofin, 2 safety pins, 2 needles, a paperclip and an extra hair binder

bottle opener - since the one on the leatherman sucks bigtime

paracord lanyard - made out of nylon rope rated to hold 550 lbs on one strand, there is 6 feet of it in this lanyard. rope can be used for LOTS of things. the white part glows in the dark too

bug

this is a Cicada (pronounced sick-ay-duh)

they are those damn things that sit up in trees on hot days and make that really annoying buzzing sound that can be heard all over... pretty rare to see one on the ground not near any trees at all...

badger!

ok, my all time favorite animal is a badger just because they are badass and they can kick just about any other animals ass.... i mean look at those claws! they have even been known to fend off and tear into mountain lions! anyways, this one was a stuffed taxidermied one at cabelas... i have yet to see a living one.

went to a british car show at ellingson car museum over the weekend hoping to see some lotuses. there were none there but there were some other interesting cars worth snapping pics of...

best warning ever

most warning on machinery just show you what not to do. this one actually shows you the results... note the completely severed fingers! I laughed when i saw this on our new forklift at work...

president dipshit.... oops, i mean Bush!

George Dubyah came to town on saturday to look at the damage of the 35w bridge collapse and to talk and stuff...air force one landing:

air force one EXTREME ZOOM: (after taking this picture, the police arrived at the fenceline and told me that "the snipers on that rooftop informed me that they have you in their line of sight and they would like you to back away"

the president landed and go off air force one and straight on to marine one (the presedential helicopter) and took off. accompanying him were two blackhawks and another marine one decoy chopper in case of a ground launched missle attack or something... right after takeoff they shuffle around really fast and halfway to the destination the decoy returned to the airport...

there was even a THIRD decoy that stayed sitting at the air national guard base, just in case:

even though the president is a moron, its still cool to see all the stuff that goes on surrounding a presidential visit at the airport... hes coming back in a few weeks so maybe i can get some more limo motorcade pics...
