chicago!
Got back from a week long trip to chicago on sunday. Here are my pics in case anyone cares about someone elses vacation photos....
We stayed at the Palmer-House Hilton which is a $200+ a night hotel... This is the lobby:

This is our room. it is the third nicest room in the hotel, being that its on the only corner that can see lake Michigan and it is bigger than most of the other rooms:

The views looking out the windows in daylight:

Same views, at night:

Some panoramic shots of downtown. You could fit like 5 downtown minneapolises in this damn city!

This is a nice view from the river that goes through downtown. there are all sorts of nice boats cruising the waters on a saturday night and the architecture of the buildings on the river is amazing:

This is the Hancock center:

This is the Sears Tower. The highest building in North America. You can see 4 different states from it on a clear day.

Various views from the top of the Sears Tower:

This is a park called Millenium Park. It is quite new and is really cool becaues its like a little vacation right in the middle of downtown. This is the ampitheater and grassy lawn area. As you can see by the night time shot, people just come here and set out blankets and drink champagne and chill and stuff. the buildings lights change colors too...

This is a... umm... art installment / fountain at Millenium Park. A video of a face is projected on this (theres another one behind where the picture is taken from) for about ten minutes and it blinks and smiles and stuff and then about every ten minutes, the face puckers up and sprays all the people beneath it with water for about 20 seconds. TONS of kids come here to splash around and play every day. there are 1000 faces of various Chicago residents that it goes through.

finally, the CARS!!! This city is a damn Ferrari heaven. The pics below represent a small portin of waht was actually seen. There was 5 other 360 modenas and a few others as well. here are the 'rarris i got a chance to photograph:

oh and the LAMBORGHINI!!!!! minutes after this picture was taken, one looking just like this drove by down the street.

thats all for now folks, hope you enjoyed! I guess i owed you a lot of photos from my lack of update recently!

classy
this is a restaraunt called Bellanotte (in case you cant read the bright ass sign in the picture) in downtown minneapolis, right across from the target center... expensive food, very nice area. i hvae yet to eat there but it has gotten good reviews.

their valet parking is fucking insane. last nights lineup was less impressive then last saturdays but still these cars last night were there and these were the best of the bunch. we got a silver dodge viper, a red ferrari 360 modena spider, and a black 2002 lotus esprit (i will own one!) last week there was another ferrari and a couple "bling bling" big ass rims on average cars in addition to the exotics below...

oh yeah, just becuase the last one of these generated so much response, heres another lotus eslise from earlier in the night:

neigh
this is the most retarted thing ive ever seen... well, close to. how ffriggin stupid would you feel getting a speeding ticket from cops on HORSES?! yeah, these morons had their horsies galloping down university ave and cut a guy off and told him to pull over and proceeded to write him a ticket for something. fucking saint paul police! i hate them. the bastards dont even care that their horses take human sized shits every other second on public streets.

wetdog
for those who have been visiting here since the beginning, you may remember my dog at my work named Pawsi. well here he is, after a hoesdown in the heat yesterday. yes, hes still a moron who has caused over $1000 in damages to various cars/parts since weve had him. after his little "bath" he just stood there like this with his eyes closed for about ten minutes, not knowing waht to do.

cars
todays nice cars. its a secret where the warehouse ones are from. there was a SHITLOAD of nice cars in there including multiple ferraris, some jaguars and a few hotrods.first we have a delorean. like the one in back to the future where the doors open gullwing style.

second, another lotus like the one im gonna be owning soon... oh, note the couple ferraris in the back.

and third, saving the best for last, a lamborghini countach!

lotus
ok, here is my next car if i get rid of the impala. and im serious about this one. its a Lotus Esprit Turbo. these things are in my realistic price range and i could afford one right now. the thing is, they are pushing enough horsepower to keep up with most lower end ferraris and even nip at the heels of the lamborghini countach performance wise. top speed of 170! mark my words i will have one of these in my garage by next year this time!
fire
on july fourth after i was done lighting off my entire arsenal, i got a call from my parents saying that a house in my neighborhood was on fire and that every firetruck in the metro area was there. we went and it was true. this is the aftermath. according to the rumors, this guy worked on lawnmowers in his garage as his retired pass-time and evidently had a lot of gasoline in the garage that somehow went up in flames, possibly fireworks related. no i was no where near his house if thats waht your thinking!! anyways, everyone is safe and even the dog was rescued. yes that is a minivan and yes there is the shell of another car in waht used to be the garage there. it kinda melted.
