fireworks!

for this years 4th of july i ended up going to the taste of minnesotas fireworks show down in saint paul. this was the largest display the midwest has ever seen evidently.... 15,000 shells over a half hour period. i must say this was quite possibly the best show ive ever seen in my life. the finale was so loud you couldnt hear the person next to you... anyways, heres the best shot i got from last night...

over the past couple of months, i have randomly been taking pictures of cool lights for some reason.. well i figured it was time to share the two favorites that i have... these are the ones that turned out with no background noise and really cool lights... the rest were somewhat brighter and didnt look as cool... keep in mind yet again that these are from a cameraphone ;) im not too sure yet what im going to do with the rest

friggin excellent day for spotting NICE rare exotic cars yesterday...way to doctors appointment, saw a v8 TT Lotus Esprit by southdale around 4:30

on the way to downtown, saw a red viper on 100 going north...

saw a silver ferrari 360 spyder at bellanotte downtown

then cruising through uptown,saw another viper... yellow this time...

there was some wine tasting event and they had a black lamborghini gallardo and a red ferrari 360


they had a couple maseratis and a bentley but after seeing the above cars they just werent as cool....shade

So tuesday was my 23rd birthday and my girlfriend made me the most awesome cake ever!!! soooooo tasty! Id offer you all a piece but its just too damn good.

My dad's 1986 firebird after a whole days worth of washing and heavy waxing.... this thing is as smooth as glass and looks shinier then any firebird ive EVER seen....

After i pay the lotus off, im getting a delorean.... got to check one out for a long time today and they are just plain awesome... not fast or anything but the histoyr behind these things is incredible and they just look so sleek and low...

found a new rolex that i want and will probly be getting soon enough... its called the oyster datejust and is a lot more bad ass looking then the airking (cheaper model i posted before).... its about a grand more then the previous one, but its so worth it. and if you even need to ask why i want a rolex, tehn you just dont understand why theese watches are so special and you can go away.

This is the old general cinema at centennial lakes that went out of business because of the AMC theaters at southdale. So many memories here. I saw all three of the original star wars movies here when they were re-released as special editions. *tear*... now they want to put condos in here or something stupid.

FAST

today i went to the annual Intermarque european car show at the radisson in plymouth and found this beast there. this is an Ultima GTR and is one of the fastest accelerating cars in the world. It currently holds the world record for going from a complete stop to 100 miles per hour and then braking and coming to a complete stop again in 10.3 seconds. i had read all about these things and dreamed about having one but never thought id actually get to see one in real life.

so vice president dick cheney was in town yesterday speaking at the national guard base at the airport and then heading to wayzata for a fundraiser event thingy.i always notice stuff goin on at the airport a day ahead of time because the huge ass C5 Galaxy cargo plane that carries all his limos and secret service stuff and the rest of the motorcade lands at the airport and parks on the national guard area.... yesterday morning on my way to work i noticed the plane already there. i drove up along the outskirts of the airport where this nice vantage pont is where you can see the runways... there was the C5 galaxy cargo plane as well as an F-16 fighter jet and a Blackhawk helicopter parked near it. when i got to work, I checked wcco when i got to work and sure as heck, it said cheney was gonna be in town and was due to arrive around 2 or so. I took a long lunch and scoped the area out some more. along the highways there was a squad car parked in the median about every hundred feet or so along the route that the motorcade would be taking to wayzata. by the time i got to my nice vantage point the plane was already on the ground and cheney was in one of the hangars giving his speech. I had to go back to work but when i got off i headed right back over there and right as i pulled up to the vantage point i saw the motorcade cruising along the runway area towards air force one. in a matter of ten minutes everyone was on the plane and it was taking off. I stuck around a little bit longer and watched them load all the limos and motorcade vehicles into the C5 and then i went home.the first picture shows my shot from the morning before cheneys plane came in.... from left to right there is the blackhawk, a c130 cargo plane, the f-16 fighter and then the huge ass C5.

the second picture shows airforce one (not the presidents 747, but a dual engine 757) starting to pull away around 5:30PM

diablo!

saw a red diablo today! (from now on, my exotic spottings will only include lamborghini and lotus. fuck ferrari... unless i see an enzo)

shrooms!

this is growing in my front yard... a rediculous amount of mushrooms in one place. it looks like there are some growing from other ones.... these little shroom patches are on almost every yard down the block.... just though the pic was interesting and the lighting was really good...

frogs!!!

found a store that sells poison dart/arrow frogs... these things live in the rainforest and their skin is toxic / poisonous. back in the day the tribes that found them used to dip their arrowheads in a solution with the frogs toxin and some other stuff. these things are about the size of your thumbnail and are $85 a piece. spendy for something you cant touch but bad ass as hell!!!!
