Wheels of Italy!!

Its that time of the year again! Time for the annual Wheels Of Italy Car Show at the Lake Calhoun Executive Plaza in Minneapolis!

The day started up with me meeting with my fellow lotus club members at the local dealer for a photoshoot.

Then I went to the show and took lots of pictures of all the Lamborghinis. Like ive said before, only lambos get pictures, theres too many ferraris in the world and i just plain dont like them or their owners most of the time!

Best. Pizza. EVER.

Well, on july 4th i was driving back home after fireworks and we drove by my favorite pizza place, Villa Roma. It didnt exist anymore. In its place was a place called "Craig and Davids" or something stupid along those lines. It was now a chicago style hot dog joint. I cried a little inside.

The search was on for a new number one. I had read great things about a place called "Red's Savoy" in saint paul, a few miles down the same street from Villa Roma. It had won numerous magazine awards for Twin Cities best pizza and such.

Last night me, molly and my closest friends (who all appreciate good pizza and were also saddened by the loss of the great Villa Roma) decided to give it a try.

The place inside is very dimly lit and the food took a long time to get there but when it did, it was fucking marvelous! I was worried that the two biggest food critics i know, (my gf molly, and anna, my friend dustins GF) would absolutely hate it but they ordered a veggie pizza and finished the whole thing before us guys could finish our pepperoni... and they said they LOVED it! Success!!! I finally found a place that pleased everyone! upon eating my first bite, i immediately decided that this was to be the replacement as the number one spot on my favorite pizza places of anywhere, ever.

The pizzas come cut "minnesota style" (thin crust cut into small squares) and the sauce has a tiny bit of bite to it but it is the PERFECT spiciness level! the crust is thin but JUST thick enough to hold its shape and not droop over if you pick up a piece.

anyways, i absolutely recommend this place and give it 10 out of 5 stars.

NoDak and UZIS!

Went to Grand Forks, North Dakota over the weekend for my friend Colin's wedding...

Monticello nuclear power plant. Just because I always wanted to get a picture of this... And maybe a tour some day. It just fascinates me for some reason.

Nice sunset:

The best fruit snacks ever. They have literally every single one of my favorite aircraft:

The best pancakes ever are in the top of this shot. They are the size of dinner plates and thick enough to support a spoon standing straight up wwhen you stab one into it:

Another nice sunset:

(There was a bunch of wedding stuff that took place at this point but I dont like personal business in here so go to facebook if you know me for those photos.)

Met a friend south of Grand Forks who owns some fully automatic machine guns.... This is the Uzi buffet table:

exotics

Went to Morries Maserati a few days ago and got some pics of some ultra rare cars....

First up is a 2009 Aston Martin DBS. This is the same model of car that was used in the James Bond movie "Casino Royale". They only want $223,500 for this one! What a steal!

Second we have a 2008 Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione. This is one of 84 destined for the US and one of TWO for sale right now. Top speed is 181 mph. They want $309,995 for it. Ill take two.

oh, Twins player Joe Mauer stopped by with his Plymouth Prowler while i was there too:
