assault weapons...

The tragedy in virginia yesterday was extremely heartbreaking and words cannot describe how tragic this event was. I am deeply saddened that this happened and it is truly awful.I listened to talk radio all day at work today and as you can imagine this was understandably the only thing that anyone could talk about on air. The main thing that pissed me off extremely bad today, was everyone talking about gun laws and the like. As you are probably all well aware, I do own an UZI "assault weapon" so this touches on an issue that I feel very strongly about. It was mentioned a NUMBER of times that there is a strong possibility that the assault weapons ban that expired a few years back would be reinstated. I would like to take this time to tell you to ask yourself this question... Do you HONESTLY know what an assault weapon is? If the first thought that comes to your mind is "machine gun", then you are sadly mis-informed and you probably think this way because of the propaganda and lies told by the majority of the mainstream media. All machine guns have been banned since 1934 and even before that you had to be a federal firearms dealer or law enforcement to obtain them. A machine gun is any firearm that will repeat firing as long as the trigger is held.An assault weapon is any weapon with two or more of the following features: -folding or telescoping stock -threaded barrel -pistol grip -foward grip (hand grip other than the pistol grip) -barrel shroudNote that it has NOTHING to do with fully automatic fire!!! So every anti-gun person out there using the argument that creating an assault weapons ban will get "machine guns off the streets", is full of shit and wants you to associate all assault weapons with fully automatic weapons, which they actually have nothing to do with.My BIGGEST GRIPE with all of this is the fact that assault weapons are being brought up left and right, yet the killer at Virginia Tech used a Glock 19 PISTOL and a Walther P22 PISTOL.... NEITHER of which comes close to being an "assault weapon"...

The assault weapons ban of 1994 that recently ended did NOTHING. It simply made it so that companies that were producing said weapons could not produce them with the features mentioned above. The DC Sniper used a Bushmaster XM-15 rifle to commit the murders in the beltway area of the eastern US in 2002.

This rifle is a civilian legal, semi-automatic clone of the M16 rifle (fully automatic) that is standard issue with US Marines and used extensively by police forces and military. This rifle is an assault weapon, BUT the specific rifle Malvo used was produced and manufactured and sold legally to him, a non-law enforcement or military citizen, WHILE the assault weapons ban was active. Prior to the assault weapons ban, this gun would have had a bayonet lug and possibly a threaded barrel and would come sold with 30 round magazines/clips. Upon the setting of the ban, all Bushmaster firearms had to do was simply get rid of these insignificant features and they were still able to sell the rifles that average people wouldnt be able to tell the difference in anyways. This specific gun used did not have a telescoping stock but many of Bushmaster's other rifles do. At the time of the ban passing, all Bushmaster had to do was weld the stock in an open position and that made it pass regulation. The fact is that yes, the BAN did pass, but there were (and still are) still countless numbers of the pre-ban guns in existence, fully equipped with threaded barrels, folding stocks and all that "bad stuff"!!! The prices of these guns just increased because people still wanted them. Government did nothing and still cant do anything about the countless number of assault weapons that existed before the ban passed. Now, lets take a look at another tragedy... The Columbine shootings of 8 years ago. The killers used a number of different weapons including a sawed off shotgun (good luck EVER banning shotguns!!) and an Intratec TEC-9.

(upper right corner)The media wanted you to believe that this Tec-9 was a machine gun like I have mentioned before, but it was NOT. You can go to any gun show to this day and find a number of them on sale to civilians. They are your average ordinary 9mm pistol that just looks mean.
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
In the 80's they had a shroud around the barrel with holes in it to help with heat as well as a threaded barrel, as shown above, but the assault weapons band deemed that "dangerous" so Intratec just made their guns as you see in the picture above of all the Columbine weapons... No threaded barrel or extension. They also sold them with smaller capacity magazines/clips (do I have to mention the hundreds of thousands of mags already produced before the ban out there that could hold 32 rounds??). My point here is that the gun used in Columbine that the media wants you to think is a fully automatic machine gun, was in fact a semi automatic 9mm pistol, manufactured DURING the assault weapons ban!!!!Then there is the famous North Hollywood Shootout in which two masked bank robbers robbed a bank and walked out with AK-47's and fired at everything in sight for an hour. THESE were illegally obtained machine guns! Not what the media says is "commonly available" and tells you are the types of weapons that are readily avaiable without background checks at gunshows. Oh P.S. it took me MONTHS to pass FBI background checks in order to obtain a license to get my UZI, and /i urge ANYONE reading this to try buying an "assault rifle" at a gunshow without them asking for your permit to purchase!!!My UZI is a SEMI automatic 9mm PISTOL that fires ONE shot with every pull of the trigger. I bought it DURING the assault weapons ban. I have six 32 round PRE-ban magazines for it that were produced before the ban.
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
During the ban I could have still went and obtained as many 32 rounders as I wanted. There is an EXTREME surplus of the things. Point here: the ban did NOT "ban UZIs and AK47's" (like i keep drilling into your heads) which is what every anti-gun person wants weak minded people to believe! My point is that the cosmetic features that were deemed dangerous and inappropriate on assault weapons are what made the ban, and contrary to what 99% of the public believes, NOT a permanent "end-all" ban on "machine guns" (which, as I have mentioned, have been completely banned since 1934!) Also, no matter what the government tries to ban, there will always be loopholes around it and not to mention the insane amount of already produced "assault weapons" already out there. Oh, and there is no hope in taking these guns away because it is in the constitution, and that is a topic that will be argued about with no results until the end of time! ALSO lets not forget the black market! The bigger the ban, the bigger the black market! (edit: as of this writing, it was noted on the news that the guns used in the Virginia Tech massacre had their serial numbers etched off. A CLEAR sign that they were purchased on the black market illegally!)My other main point is that the media is bringing all of this up when it has NOTHING to do with yesterday at all! There were no assault weapons used at any time! Last thing... If ANY of you try to associate me with the likes of the Virginia Tech killer or even think that i would EVER be that sick in the head just because I own and UZI and play Grand Theft Auto, go choke on a piece of your own shit.p.s. Karl, I dont want to argue about this. This is about the ban and the fact that media keeps trying to bring it up at inappropriate times, not my ownership or the "need" for firearms. That post will come at a later time! ;)

OH MY GOD! its an OMEGA!!!!!!

Thats right ladies and gentleman, after months and months of trying on awesome expensive watches, ive finally stepped up to the plate and got the Omega Seamaster 300M Diver Chronometer Automatic (the James Bond watch)...

This thing is seriously awesome and one of the finest timepieces I have ever seen... It cost me a pretty penny but it i worth it in every way. Like ive said before Ive wanted a watch like this since I was in eighth grade and now my dream has finally come true! No one except Molly understands why this watch costs so much though... well this isnt your everage "put batteries in it and tell time" watch... this is like a lambrghini and it is handcrafted and has over 100 different mechanical parts inside that make it so when you move your wrist, it winds itself and has enough power to be sefl wound for 44 hours... Its internal bearings are made of actual rubies and the face of the watch is scratch resistant sapphire crystal. It is water proof and pressure proof down to 1000 feet below the sea. It has a ton more features that make it totally awesome but I think ive said enough. The last photo is my "artsy" photo...

oh and by the way, if you think your getting this thing off of my wrist, your gonna have to prepare to be sliced... and you all know the size of Knife I carry ;) ;)

work

Ok so i finally had to quit south side automotive because i really need some more money if im going to be affording life and paying down debt and stuff.... I found a new job at a place called Gerand Engineering that makes and ships out meters and valves and all that stuff for the fire sprinkler systems in office buildings... My dad has worked there for a while and so has my cousin so as of yesterday (thursday was supposed to be my first day but I got a paid snow day for both thursday and friday) I am now an official warehouse worker, making much more money then i was at South Side.... not to mention I now get longer breaks, and the possibility of benefits such as insurance, vacations, and all that cool stuff! Below are some pictures of the warehouse that I spend all day in.... I have had MANY MANY different various jobs assembling things and packaging things and double checking other peoples work and it just makes the day FLY by! I am really loving it! Plus I get to work with my dad who is a really awesome guy to work for because he knows how to be organized like I like to be and he knows just about everything about this job, so if i have any questions, he is there for me!This is the assembly area where everything gets put together before going out into the warehouse:

aisle 1 of the warehouse:

bond

Ok, screw that other watch, im going with the Omega Seamaster 300M Diver... This is the watch that Pierce Brosnan wore in all of his movies that he played James Bond in.... Its one of the most popular watches in all of Omegas line and it has that really cool bezel that rotates so you can tell elapsed time or time remaining if diving (or other various situations)... The watch goes for about $2000 and I should have one on my birthday so stay tuned then for an extensive review! yes, I am buying this watch partially because of the James Bond awesomeness, but Ive wanted a luxury timepiece since I was in 8th grade and got a chance to take apart a really excellently crafted rolex replica that ran on a swiss made automatic movement (self winding and uses no batteries). This is one of those types of watches and if you even knew what went into producing one of these you would see why they cost so damn much. This isnt some ordinary target-bought timex here.... this will be a piece that I will hope to someday pass down to future generations of my family...

hot sauce review 2

ok its that time again.... time for another hot sauce review since i have some excellent new additions to the collection...first are probably two of the most well known and definately my top two favorites at the moment...

on the left we have daves insanity sauce.... this was the first sauce to incorporate the extracts of hot peppers for that extra kick and when it first came out, he was kicked out of a sauce awards show for it being too hot.... well, compared to the insane extract based stuff thats out on the market now, this stuff is pretty mild but will still make you NEED a glass of milk... it has a reaaaallly good flavor too and makes an excellent addition to chip dips, salsas and chicken.Second in the picture is Blairs Jersey Death. two words: FUCKING CHRIST! this stuff is double the heat of the last hot sauces review hottest sauce.... this stuff is 750 times hotter then a jalapeno pepper and you can just see the wickedness in the bottle... there is sort of a resin that forms on the side of the bottle in this really dark red syrup. It doesnt really pour out of teh bottle, it just kind of runs out really slowly the way that really thick honey would. i tried a couple dabs on a toothpick and for the first ten seconds i couldnt feel the back of my throat and i think i stopped breathing until i could handle the pain enough to muster up a cough.... this is pretty much the hottest stuff that you can get in a bottle for under ten dollars... Blair currently makes stuff that is 16 times hotter then this but you have to shell out a pretty penny for the bottles because they are quite rare and collectible and really arent even supposed to be consumed. There are warnings on the Jersey Death that tell you that this shouldnt be consumed without diluting it first. amazing stuff. i cant wait to try it on some ramen later today!second, this is the rest of the Blairs line that I have obtained...

i think im only missing one or two pretty rare ones in the "death sauces" line that he makes.... all of these are pretty much the same with a few differences in flavor and each one is progressively hotter then the next by leaps and bounds.... the "possible side effects" is arguably the tastiest sauce in the line and has a lot more ingredients then just peppers and vinegar. I would reccomend this as a good starter sauce in getting into the world of insane killer sauces. the other two are really hot and i havent had much time with them to taste the difference in flavor but i do know that there are a few different ingredients in them so they should be interesting once the burn resides and you can actually taste what is in it!

construction

ok so there was a post last summer about some high rise buildings going in near southdale at the end of teh galleria... well, i was mistaken in thinking that the structure that they were working on was the building itself... that structure is now completed and it turns out that it was the parking ramp for the building that they are just starting on now... they have finally dug the giant hole and put the cranes up... this should be a pretty cool building and make all the other buildings in the area jealous...here is a nice darkened contrast photo of the colossal cranes getting ready for some serious building making

omega

This is the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra. This watch is not mine yet, but it will be on my birthday (June). I know its not a Rolex but its along the same lines (if not better). Hell, Omega was the first watch on the moon and is the choice of the current James Bond (Pierce Brosnan and now Daniel Craig and all future Bonds). This watch retails for a little over a grand and a half, so its more affordable than a Rolex, and it will be my first experience now that I am getting into the world of fine timepieces and luxury toys!

kickin it up a notch

ok, there have been entries in this journal about spicy foods before, but let me show you guys my collection as it stands today....

from left to right we have:Cholula - pretty mild stuff, no real burn to it... used as a staple hot sauce at many popular mexican restaurants including don pablosBlairs Original Death Sauce - Blair is one of the most well known names in the hot sauce world and currently holds the title for having produced the hottest sauce in the world... this isnt it... this is a relatively mild habanero based sauce that was his original creation that got him into the world of spice... pretty garlicky but can add flavor to just about anything... goes really good with chicken!El Yucateco Chile De Habanero - another staple sauce found at many mexican eateries, allthough a few drops of this one will leave you probably wanting a sip of something... not too bad thoughEl Yucateco XXXtra hot chile de habanero - same brand as before, but hotter then the previous one as i believe there may be more varieties of pepper in the recipeThe Hottest Fuckin' Sauce - well, not actually the hottest but this was my first experience into the world of hot sauce extract sauces (they extract the pure spiciness from the peppers for double the heat, its what is used in pepper spray too) This stuff will make your average joe sweat and feel like chugging a glass of milk but believe me, there are WAY more worse sauces then this... this is pathetic compared to the next one....Blairs Mega Death - dear god. this stuff is 550 times hotter then a jalapeno pepper... this is a tomato based sauce (you can taste it for a few milliseconds before the heat kills you) with a nice smoky flavor. nice and thick too... I put a drop on a dorito and in order to get rid of the burn completely i had to chug a full glass of milk and eat a bunch of crackers and string cheese... this stuff hurts and it NOT for the inexperienced... Blairs Queso dip - GOOOOD cheese dip! tastes like a normal cheese dip for a good handful of chips and then you start to sweat and feel the endorphin rush.... it contains fire roasted habaneros, thats why! This stuff is cheap and really tasty!Habanero Rub From Hell - tis is supposed to be used as a dry rub to put on steaks and meats before you barbeque but i use it as an additive to some of my cheese dips and such.... really dry smoky flavor and a tiny bit of bite.... quite tasty but i should really use it what its for on BBQ next timecustom home made spice blend - this is my own personal blend of home grown and home dried habanero, cayenne and jalapeno peppers all crushed up into powder and mixed into one bottle... goes good on everything... really good in salsas and cheese dips!Blairs Death Rain Nitro - i posted a review of this stuff before but put it this way... this is dried and powdered habanero peppers with the Blairs Mega Death sauce i mentioned earlier sprayed over the powder... a pinch of this stuff in a bowl of ramen will leave your lips burning for a whileBlairs Death Rain Chipotle - VERY flavorful powder... contains roasted jalapeno (chipotle) powder as well as some other various spices that are so amazingly awesome when dusted on a dorito!Crushed Red Pepper - the stuff you put on pizza... good additive to anything.stay tuned because i will most lilely be obtaining more hot sauces in the next few months and will post another review similar to this one! Let me know what you think!

twisted metal!

ladies and gentlemen, i present to you, muthafriggin PLAYSTATION ONE games on my CELL PHONE!!!!this is not a trick or a photoshop... thats the original playstation game, twisted metal 2 (the best game in the entire universe), running in full speed, full screen, with sound, on my cell phone!!!! this is not just some re-made skewed version of the game, this is the original program files that from the actual playstation disc being used and emulated.... allthough this does push my phone to its limites of waht it can do and drains the battery faster then anything else ive run on it...

now, if only i could get xbox 360 games on there id be all set!!!

asshole cops

ok so im driving to work last week and i get off the exit ramp and as i look in my rearview mirror, there are six squad cars behind me.... needless to say i panic and freak out but get a sigh of relief as they turn the other direction.... still curious, i look in my rear view again and one had gotten a little down the road and then turned his lights on and pulled to the middle of the road and blocked traffic so the other five could turn around in the middle of the street.... i panicked again but as i watched in my rear view i saw they they were getting back on the entrance ramp on the highway.... at this point i lost sight of them but i was still interested to see what was going on... i drove up to the next bridge that crossed the highway, went over it and turned left to double back on where i was before, but on the other side of the highway.... i looked down on the highway and there were already two people pulled over by two of the squad cars and as i drove a little further to see the entrance ramp there was three of the squad cars waiting to catch more speeders.... as i came across the next overpass bridge there was the 6th squad car on to with a trooper radaring people for his 5 friends down the line...FUCKING ASSHOLE COPS! i didnt get pulled over or anything but this just seems like a pointless waste of time and police force that could be used to stop REAL crime! i dont know HOW they are catching speeders on that little stretch of road, because whenever im on it, i always end up doing 30 MPH on the FREEWAY because most of the population around my work are crackheads who sholdnt be alive, much less have a license.look at these piggies:

anyways, just a word of warning, if you ever actually get your car above 35 MPH out near the airport, watch out! there are some bully cops teaming up to ruin your day! or you could just avoid the freeways and go rob a bank... you wont get cought because every god damn officer in the state is waiting to give the oh-so-dangerous "speeders" on crosstown a "speeding" ticket.
