pink
Ok for those who dont know, the pink plastic lawn flamingos you sometimes see in peoples front lawns are going extinct...why you ask? well, because the creator, Don Featherstone, is unable to keep up with rising costs of plastics and materials needed to keep producing these birds. The birds have existed since 1957 and would have celebrated their 50th birthday next year but are unable to nkow that the last ones have been produced. The plant officially closed its doors on wednesday november 1st.This is the day that ebay went NUTS with these things.... you could not find a pair for under $150-$200!! every single site that was selling them online was out of stock and they were no where to be found... even after checkig today, they are still going for around $150!I found a couple little known sites on the internet with my expert searching results that still had these things for $18 a pair. I ordered a pair for myself and am still awaiting packages from two other places so I can make profit on ebay with them! easiest $100+ bucks ive ever made!anyways, dont go thinking that just any old plastic flamingo will sell for this crazy price, you have to have an original Featherstone flamingo from Union Products of MA... check underneath the bird for Don's signature embossed into it. all others are ripoffs.

whole collection!
flies need lovin too
roughing it!
ok, better late then never, here are the pictures from my camping trip with my girlfriend and friends dustin, and anna, on the weekend of october 6-9... we went to whitewater state park in southern minnesota...this is our first awesome campsite... away from everyone else... we got there late and the next day when we went to check in they told us it was reserved so we had to move into a different site
the second site:
the first day we were there we saw this fire watchtower on top of a really tall hill so we decided to see if it was climbable... these are the stairs leading up to it.... including the stairs in the tower itself there is somewhere over 700 stairs....
the views from the top... that little town is called Elba, MN and has a population of about 200...
the view looking straight down from the top of the tower (looks shorter then it actually is)
looking back up at the tower:
the tower as seen from the ground...
after the tower we spent some time on the ground and came across this nice old military deuce-and-a-half sitting in the weeds:
a campfire i made:
the next day we went hiking in some hills and bluffs.... these are some cool moss covered rocks i found:
this is a farm that from where we were, looked like it was waaaaay on top of a mountain... who the hell would put their farm up there???!!!
the view from one of the best bluffs we climbed:
the bluff from the ground:
throughout the weekend i took lots of photos of the various rivers and streams running around the area.... these were my best ones:

8 seven times
ever wondered what would happen if you dial certain numbers on the phone by just keeping on pressing them? well if you do the number eight, seven times, you reach this place... its a liquor store over in richfield. When me and my friend dustin were really young we would spend our summer days prank calling these guys... may fun conversations were had with them... the best was when we asked for jesus.... or the time they picked up and we shouted as many swear words as loud as we could until they hung up...we are the reason this place got caller ID....
